Folklore ensemble Cifra is able to form and adapt its performances to current requirements of the organizer.

  • History

Cifra, a folklore group from Uherske Hradiste choreographed by Lenka Kravackova PhD. and presently made up of 14 dance pairs was founded in 2000 in the heart of Moravian Slovácko. Its repertoire is focused on rejuvenating the treasures of traditional folk art of the Slovacko region, a region with a very rich culture and unique traditions. Searching for new inspiration, Cifra seeks to discover folk songs and dances even across the borders – in the neighbour country of Slovakia.
Cifra takes part in various festivals and folklore events both home and abroad. So far the group has been given the chance to perform in many countries such as France, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, Canada, to name a few. It gives regular feature performances and rightly ranks among the top folklore groups of the Uherske Hradiste region.
Since 2012, Cifra has cooperated with the famous cimbalom band Ohnica.
